The young founders of Roadstar.ai, an autonomous vehicle startup based in Shenzhen and Silicon Valley, will share their stories of adventure and entrepreneurship. Created in 2017, Roadstar.ai has been recognized by various international rankings as an up and coming AI enterprise. The company has raised an angel round of US$ 10 million from leading venture capital funds.

Dr. Jan Wei Pan, P.E. (USA) is the Technical R&D Director of Roadstar.ai and has worked in the AI/Autonomous driving industry for 12+ years, including as Boeing company’s autonomy software architecture lead and Sr.Adv Technologist. He has also worked as Liebherr Tech Lead, responsible for developing autonomous vehicle’s awareness and decision-making systems, He is a member of the ISO Technical Advisory Committee and AI/ML Adjunct Graduate Faculty at Tennessee State University. He holds a PhD from Virginia Tech.
Dr. Zhou Zhizhong: is the localization tech lead of roadstar.ai, with expertise in lidar/vision-based SLAM and visual inertial odometry. He has worked in the localization team in Apple’s Titan project. He hold a EE B.S, & M.S in EE and a PhD in CS from National Taiwan University.
